Casting Otonashi Ichie in More Roles in a Month Than BushiRoad Gives Her in a Year Because She Deserves It Part 1: Elle Woods ⚖️💅

In celebration of my favourite genki girls birthday this month, I'm sharing doodles of some of my Ichie fancasts!

One of the first ReLive fancasts I ever did, before I even played the game in earnest, was Ichie as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. There is much cooler fanart of that now which I'll reblog again, but Elle still felt like the right role to start on.

Hi, I kinda hate the casting of Nick Jonas as Jamie in The Last Five Years but instead of being a hater, here’s a list of roles I think Nick Jonas would be a better fit for if he wanted to do musicals again

Also before people get mad at me, I am not saying Nick Jonas is my number one choice for any of these parts, or even in my top ten, I just think he’d be a better fit for this part than Jamie Wellenstein.

I really need to join a musical theatre group again. I was in theatre all through school and my gap years and in university, and then i just abruptly stopped after i graduated. Man i got to professional level in my gap years and ran with an official troupe where i got a few lead roles, i have the skill and experience and know i can do it. My voice will be a bit rusty and i'll need some practice to get it back into shape and i'll probably need to hit the gym to get my agility and flexibility back up to standard but i was legit so fucking happy when i was on stage singing and dancing and acting even though its basically a second full time job to do that when its not your career, but all that work never felt like WORK to me. I think id really be a lot happier and more enriched with my current situation if i was still in musical theatre. I figured out how to make it work in my gap years and school and university, i can figure it out now

-polly is elle woods and yann is emmett forrest, obviously

-the musical has them so perfectly set up as bewildered by each other but drawn together nonetheless and then fierce, fierce friends who would do anything for each other and support each other unconditionally

-yann being bi would also be giving polly advice on how to get her ex back and what usually works with him for guys etc (or maybe she has an ex girlfriend???? something to think about)

-polly finding herself and her power through the law but also her deep rooted (but previously more subconscious) desire to help people and make the world a better place, especially for those who are marginalised in society

-they’d both befriend karl, craig, rose, albus and scorpius along the way!!! the gang found family core

-something funny to me about turning yann fredericks into mr “I don’t go to parties a lot, not good use of the time that I’ve got” ….there’s probably a scene where they do end up at a party together and polly is shocked by how hot and competent at it all he is and he’s like ‘I said I don’t go a lot, not that I don’t go at all’

-the bend and snap / gay or european turns into both yann and polly performing the bend and snap in front of the witness to test if he’s gay and when he’s only paying attention to yann, yann is both smug and proud of polly’s instincts, he probably makes some comment about how he can’t comprehend people Not looking at her

-it’s the genuine friends to lovers of it all!! they are obsessed with each other, they become each others closest and fiercest friend and they both know that there’s something more there but their friendship has become SO important they’re worried about compromising it (also yann thinks she’s still invested in getting her ex back and is trying to be supportive)

-something something polly chapman proposing to yann fredericks just feels deeply right and real

elle woods: my first instinct was lily of nmixx but then i remembered. nina of niziu exists. so... elle woods is nina!

emmett forrest: jooyeon or jungsu of xdinary heroes seem like a good fits to me but i can't quite decide between them. i think jooyeon's vocal range fits the demands more though?

professer callahan: he kinda has to be felix cause i can't think of any other jyp artists who are baritones lol

warner huntington III: i think seungmin or bang chan would be a decent fit. im leaning towards bang chan though - i think he'd play the character better but seungmin would be better vocally. so seungmin

vivienne kensington: she has to be either lily or haewon - i can't think of any other jyp artists who could hit the notes in legally blonde remix. im leaning towards haewon because i want lily for...

paulette: lily of nmixx has the comedic chops to pull off this character 100%

I'm not a "new musical theatre style music" person. Never have been.

Even when I was doing voice lessons, I'd steer towards the golden age or jazzy musical theatre songs. My voice teacher would have to drag me kicking and screaming towards adding anything new musical theatre to my repertoire. For a while, the most modern song in my book was I Know The Truth from Aida, and I wouldn't count that as new musical theatre style since I mean more the Pasek&Paul or Joe Iconis type.

And now I have an audition coming up for a small production of a show in that style and I'm supposed to sing a song in a similar style. And I'm looking at all my sheet music like... let me do some Cole Porter... or Gershwin... at least Sondheim please...

So I'm playing Kyle in my school's production of Legally Blonde this year, and during rehearsal today, the girl who plays Paulette came up to me randomly backstage and asked "Are you like Nikos?" and it took all I have to not laugh and interrupt the people on stage.
